Privacy Policy
Sichuan Parabola Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the BebiWhy iOS app (shown as “宝宝怎么了” when Simplified Chinese is selected). This policy explains how the app handles information.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
BebiWhy has no account system, advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDK, cloud synchronization, or developer-operated upload service. We do not receive, sell, rent, or use information from the app for advertising or profiling.
2. Information Handled on Your Device
- Camera content: During a caregiver-started 10-second observation, camera frames are processed on the device to locate a face and provide motion, live-person, and expression cues. The app does not create an identity profile or compare the child with an identity database.
- Saved observation videos and records: Completed videos and their related observation details are saved inside the app’s local storage so the caregiver can review or delete them.
- Child profile: Profile details entered by the caregiver are cached locally to avoid repeated entry. They are not sent to us.
- PDFs and sharing: A PDF is created locally. It leaves the app only if the caregiver deliberately chooses an option in the iOS share sheet. A chosen destination then handles the shared copy under its own terms.
- Preferences: Language and other app preferences are stored locally.
3. iOS Permission
BebiWhy requests Camera access for the caregiver-started observation. It does not request Microphone, Photos, Contacts, Location, or tracking permission. Opening the Privacy Policy or Terms is an explicit user action and opens a public web page.
4. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Local content remains on the device until the caregiver deletes an item where a delete control is available or removes the app. Removing the app erases its local container. Copies shared or saved outside BebiWhy must be managed at the destination selected by the caregiver. We cannot access or recover local content.
5. Children’s Privacy
BebiWhy is intended for use by an adult parent or guardian, not for independent use by a child. Because information remains on the device and is not sent to us, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
6. Security
Keeping information on the device limits network exposure, but no storage method is risk-free. Caregivers should protect the iPhone with a passcode, keep iOS current, and share files only with trusted recipients.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before the related app behavior is released.
